Introducing a Tax & MOT exempt 1982 Yamaha XS1100 Maxim that has recently been imported from North America, where it has spent its entire life. The favorable climate in North America has helped preserve this bike’s original condition and beauty.

While we cannot confirm the mileage reading, this motorcycle is a great purchase for any classic restoration project, whether for commercial or personal purposes.

Please check out the pictures to see that this bike is nearly complete, missing only the r/h plug cap. It has been standing for a while, and the battery is flat, the seat cover is perished, the brake master cylinders are not working, and the carburetors are stuck. Unfortunately, the rear r/h indicator is broken.

However, the wheels are straight with clean alloy, and the forks and yokes appear straight. The mudguards are solid, and the taillight assembly, headlight, and hangers are in good condition. The instruments and switches look good, but the speedo glass has a hairline crack. The paintwork is solid, and the fuel tank is useably clean inside. The exhausts are original and appear to be sound, while the engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it firing and running on easystart spray, but the fuel system and carbs will need attention.
